The Bridgewater-Raynham Special Education Parents Advisory Council (BR-SEPAC) represents about 850 children with special needs within the Bridgewater-Raynham School district. The BR-SEPAC provides education to administrators, teachers, parents and the broader community on Special Education issues and services. We work towards the understanding of respect, support, and appropriate education for all children with special needs in our community.

Welcome!

circle of people2

We hope you all had a wonderful winter break. The rest of this school year looks to be very productive for the the BR-SEPAC. We are having our first fundraiser; Movie night at the LaLiberte Elementary School in Raynham.  This will be held on Friday March 16th.  I hope you and your family will attend.

Behind the scenes we are still working very hard to get this council established.  We are currently starting to draft our year-end report to the school committee.  This will help us set up goals with the District and Special Administration for next year.  We have also set up monthly meetings with the new Special Education Director Carla Thomas discussing programs and services.

We are new to this and could use your help, as parents of children whom need some accommodation and extra help in order to access the schools curriculum.  If you have any ideas, concerns, and questions we would be happy to hear from you..

I truly hope everyone finds this web site informative and useful. The council and I are working hard to keep updating this site and keeping abreast of special education issues and concerns. If you should have any questions, comments, or concerns please send us an e-mail or use our contact form.

I hope you take the time to fill fill out the Contact form so will will get our monthly newsletter. This will also enable us to send you our periodic e-mails regarding special education issues and events.

I look forward to working with you all. ~Stephen Benjamin

Open Meetings

Our meetings are open to ALL

The input from parents, administrators, faculty, paraprofessionals, and community members on the Special Education process is important to us.  We are a solution orientated group and no one will be badgered.  We know that successful collaborative efforts grow out of shared goals and are maintained by strong communication and positive outcomes.
